Cooling hoses circulate water from the radiator to the engine and from the engine to the radiator. As long as the engine is running, high temperatures are generated by fuel combustion and friction. These temperatures can cause the engine to overheat and damage it. At this point, the cooling system takes over and maintains the optimum operating temperature of the engine. Cooling hoses are flexible tube-like parts made of elastomeric materials. They are usually made of EPDM, EPM, MVQ or thermoplastic materials. These materials are resistant to high temperatures and cold-hot changes and are ideal for long-term use as they are resistant to corrosion.
